YOU GUYS.

All Souls Con 2018 is right around the corner. In fact, we’ve got just thirty days until we see you in Philadelphia!

In honor of the upcoming con, we thought we’d take some time to talk about the things in the All Souls Trilogy that we absolutely love. It’s only fitting that Day One of our countdown is the inimitable, incredible Diana Bishop. Diana is near and dear to our hearts — simultaneously reluctant and brave, compassionate, talented, funny, and capable of incredible sacrifice, she is a fascinating protagonist. We love her when she’s stubborn, we fall in love with Matthew time and time again through her eyes, and we absolutely adore, respect, and honor the person she becomes at the end of her journey.

What are your favorite things about Diana? Come and tell us on our Facebook page, the Chamomile & Clove Clovers.

Ready for the next post? Here’s Day Two.

Have a nomination for our countdown list? E-mail us at chamomileandclovecast@gmail.com, send us a message via Twitter @chamomilenclove, or send us a Facebook message!

There are still online passes available for All Souls Con 2018. Buy a pass and you’ll see us present on Friday, August 10 with the lovely Jennifer Covel!

We can’t wait to see you,

Cait and Jen

Hello, Clovers! In this episode, we tackle the thorny relationship between Matthew and Kit, the difficulty of being yourself around the School of Night, and the structural challenges posed by the choice to use flash-forward scenes in a time travel novel. Join us as we discuss Chapters 6-7 of SON and complete Part I of the book!

Download the episode here.

There are some audio blippety-bloops in the first 15 minutes of the episode, for which we apologize. We hope that they will not detract from your listening experience.

In case you missed it, Sky One released a new trailer for the ADOW TV adaptation this week. You can find that trailer here and follow our discussion about that trailer on our Facebook group, the Chamomile & Clove Clovers.

Happy listening!

Y’all, middles are hard. Shadow of Night is a complicated, compelling, difficult, and rewarding book – we can’t wait to pick it over with you! In this episode, we discuss Chapters 1-3 of SON, as well as unnecessary vowels, good people, bad people (and Kit), and whether you ought to expect a historian of alchemy to know anything about bum rolls. If you’d like to know more about our approach, check out our post on why we do what we do. Our reading schedule for Shadow of Night is here
