On Day Three of our countdown to All Souls Con, we celebrate Sarah Bishop – witch, aunt, mentor, partner, professional, wise woman.

Sarah is an integral part of the All Souls Trilogy, a symbol of family, tradition, grief, rebirth, wisdom, and honesty. She is a constant reminder to stay true to who you are, to acknowledge the dark and the light, to honor those who came before. She’s fierce, she’s stubborn, she’s smart, she’s devoted to her partner, and she’s always there to cut through the nonsense and get down to business. While we only see Sarah through Diana’s eyes in the books, the new TV series will undoubtedly provide us with a better glimpse into Sarah’s perspective and show us what we already know — that Diana couldn’t make it without her.

What is your favorite thing about Sarah? Which is your favorite Sarah scene? Come and tell us on our Facebook page, the Chamomile & Clove Clovers.

Countdown to All Souls Con – Our Favorite Things About the All Souls Trilogy – Day Two – Matthew Clairmont

Day Two of our Countdown to the All Souls Con is the mysterious, complicated Matthew Clairmont. He’s a difficult hero, but he forces us to ask important questions of ourselves: what would we do with immortality? How do we grow from our mistakes? Where should we look for redemption? He’s handsome, he’s charming, he’s well-read, and he has an enormous (and very enviable) wine cellar… not to mention the attributes of every good #vampirebae: a castle in France, fancy horses, nice cars, a house in every beautiful place in the world, and a knack for high romance. We love Matthew, even when he’s challenging, even when we want to shake him. So, here’s a toast on Day Two to the sire of the Bishop-Clairmont scion and the eternal partner of Diana Bishop.

Did you know that you can buy a Matthew-scented candle? The Melting Library has you covered with their clove- and carnation-scented “Oxford Vampire.”

What are your favorite things about Matthew? Come and tell us on our Facebook page, the Chamomile & Clove Clovers.

Ready for the next post? Here’s Day Three.

YOU GUYS.

All Souls Con 2018 isĀ right around the corner. In fact, we’ve got just thirty days until we see you in Philadelphia!

In honor of the upcoming con, we thought we’d take some time to talk about the things in the All Souls Trilogy that we absolutely love. It’s only fitting that Day One of our countdown is the inimitable, incredible Diana Bishop. Diana is near and dear to our hearts — simultaneously reluctant and brave, compassionate, talented, funny, and capable of incredible sacrifice, she is a fascinating protagonist. We love her when she’s stubborn, we fall in love with Matthew time and time again through her eyes, and we absolutely adore, respect, and honor the person she becomes at the end of her journey.

What are your favorite things about Diana? Come and tell us on our Facebook page, the Chamomile & Clove Clovers.

Ready for the next post? Here’s Day Two.
