Countdown to All Souls Con – Our Favorite Things about the All Souls Trilogy – Day Six – Ysabeau de Clermont

On Day Six of our Countdown to All Souls Con 2018, we express our love and admiration for Ysabeau de Clermont, Matthew’s impossibly stylish, wickedly intelligent vampire mother. Ysabeau is a marriage of contradictions — dangerous and funny, remote and affectionate, stylish and savage. We love that she saved Matthew and gave him a chance at redemption. We love that she offers support, love, and guidance to Diana as she begins her life as the matriarch of a new clan. Ysabeau is an amazing character who raises and answers questions about motherhood, power, civilization, resilience, and change. She is dynamic and fascinating and we hope to see far more of her in books to come.

How do you feel about Ysabeau? Tell us what you love about her in our Facebook group, the Chamomile & Clove Clovers.

Countdown to All Souls Con – Our Favorite Things about the All Souls Trilogy – Day Five – Hamish Osborn

Hunters Race

Everyone needs a best friend. Even vampires.

On Day Five of our countdown, we sing the praises of Hamish Osborn, the energetic, shrewd Scottish daemon who befriended Matthew during his most recent education at All Souls. Hamish is sharp–he has a bright mind and a barbed tongue, which Matthew needs to keep him focused and on track. We love Hamish’s ability to command a room, his killer sense of style, his Scots accent (thank you, Jennifer Ikeda), and we honestly wish he’d come tinker with our finances. We’d also love to meet his dapper self for breakfast or high tea with the famous and influential clientele of the Wolseley.

Is Hamish a favorite of yours, too? Tell us what you love about him in our Facebook group, the Chamomile & Clove Clovers.

Countdown to All Souls Con – Our Favorite Things About the All Souls Trilogy – Day Four – Emily Mather

On Day Four of our countdown, we honor Emily Mather — the intuitive, sensitive, caring, nurturing, steadying heart of Diana’s family. Em is quick to offer perspective, to see the best in people, to use her empathy for the betterment of all. She has depth–and a keen sense of the divine. Emily reminds us that power has a price and that love is a great act of service.

Is Emily your favorite character? Tell us what you love about her in our Facebook group, the Chamomile & Clove Clovers.

Countdown to All Souls Con – Our Favorite Things About the All Souls Trilogy – Day Three – Sarah Bishop

On Day Three of our countdown to All Souls Con, we celebrate Sarah Bishop – witch, aunt, mentor, partner, professional, wise woman.

Sarah is an integral part of the All Souls Trilogy, a symbol of family, tradition, grief, rebirth, wisdom, and honesty. She is a constant reminder to stay true to who you are, to acknowledge the dark and the light, to honor those who came before. She’s fierce, she’s stubborn, she’s smart, she’s devoted to her partner, and she’s always there to cut through the nonsense and get down to business. While we only see Sarah through Diana’s eyes in the books, the new TV series will undoubtedly provide us with a better glimpse into Sarah’s perspective and show us what we already know — that Diana couldn’t make it without her.

What is your favorite thing about Sarah? Which is your favorite Sarah scene? Come and tell us on our Facebook page, the Chamomile & Clove Clovers.
